current event!

Summary: They found that “kangaroo mother care” position as known as skin-to-skin contact from mother to baby has helped the premature babies reduced the pain from all the needles and shots given to the baby; compared the babies wrapped in blankets. The study showed the cuddled babies recovered in a minute and a half whereas the wrapped babies recovered for more than three minutes. They said “This delay could make a significant different to the health of a very preterm baby.

Importance: I just think this is so amazing how a little change really makes a huge impact. I think it’s amazing how just changing from a blanket to the mother’s skin makes the baby recover quickly; and how smart the baby recognizes the difference. I think this shows how much affection helps people get through things.
