I do agree with some points you made, however not all of them. I do believe that more and more people are becoming addicted to technology and probably couldn’t spend a day without it. But the High Tech Schools are not making kids addicted to technology; there are plenty of days where we don’t use any technology. I believe it is very important for people to understand technology because it is key in having a job, sure you don’t need it for minimum paying job but you sure need it for a career. I also agree you don’t need to be teaching people how to use excel for a whole semester but that’s not what happens here at the High Tech Schools. For example we learned Excel in our Math class while we were learning exponential growth, so we were learning two different subjects that worked hand-in-hand. The High Tech schools aren’t just about technology; they are also about projects and hands-on learning. We read articles but we mostly learn from projects and lectures. This school is for students who learn more effectively through hands-on.
