vocab words 2

1. incognito - adj.

- having one's identity concealed, as under an assumed name, esp. to avoid notice or formal attentions. Detectives are known to be undercover and aren't supposed to be seen so I chose this picture. I think this is a good example. I also have experienced being or trying to be incognito when trying to hide/avoid someone, and things like that.

2. empathy - n.

- identification with and understanding of another's situation, feelings, and motives. I chose this person because it showed someone crying on someones shoulder and he's comforting her. I think that it's easiest to talk to people when you can identify with someone and they have experience with the subject. Also I think it is easier to give advice when you've had experience.

3. plagiarize - v.

- to use and pass off (the ideas or writings of another) as one's own. I chose this picture because it shows the definition of plagiarize. I think plagiarism is in everyday life like; when people take other people's pictures; quotes, etc.
